CHARLOTTE — Last Saturday, the C.W. Community Health Center, Inc. (CWWCHC) hosted its 9th annual Back to School Community Health Fair to kick off National Health Center Week.

The event, held at the Stratford Richardson YMCA on West Boulevard in Charlotte, was part of a national campaign to increase awareness about community health centers that provide affordable care to millions of patients each year.

Almost 2,000 people came to the CWWCHC Health Fair, which gave out back-to-school physicals, COVID-19 vaccinations, free health screenings, bookbags and school supplies, free eye exams with glasses, and free food.

The event also had lots of entertainment, including live music, games, prizes, bouncy houses, an African Drum Circle, face painting, and caricature artists. More than 65 vendors were at the fair, offering educational information and free giveaways.
