CHARLOTTE — Police are investigating a deadly crash Monday morning in east Charlotte.
Around 2:15 a.m., officers were called to the crash scene along East WT Harris Boulevard near Wallace Avenue.
Officers said the motorcycle rider died at the scene. Channel 9 crews could see police speaking to possible witnesses, and the motorcycle could be seen laying in the street.
It is unclear what led to the crash.

WT Harris Boulevard was shut down between Wallace Avenue and Lawyers Road while police investigated but the road was reopened around 6:30 a.m.
