CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — A 10-year-old girl has been found safe and her alleged abductor is in custody after an Amber Alert was issued for her disappearance, according to Caldwell County dispatchers.

Authorities had been looking for 10-year-old Zoey Grace Teniente. She was found at around 4:45 a.m. Thursday, dispatchers said, and was safely returned to her family.

According to authorities, Jan Main Bryant, 54, was her alleged abductor. She is now in custody under a $75,000 bond, deputies said. She and Teniente are related, authorities said, but they did not specify how.

Bryant has been charged with child abduction, according to deputies.

Authorities thought the pair was in a red 1990 two-door Honda Civic hatchback with North Carolina license plate number TCF7622. The car is spray-painted with the words “Jesus saves” in black paint.

Dispatchers did not say if Teniente and Bryant were found with that car.
