2 charged in Chesterfield County dirt bike theft

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — Two men in Chesterfield County are behind bars after deputies say they stole four dirt bikes from a motocross facility Sunday.

It happened in the early morning hours at a shop called ClubMX, off Croft Jones Road.

James Hicks and Raymond Watkins Jr. are accused of stealing nearly $70,000 worth of property, including three Husqvarna dirt bikes, one Kawasaki and a trailer. During the investigation, deputies also recovered a stolen pickup truck out of Pickens County.

Both men are charged with five counts of grand larceny and one count of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Deputies say they expect more arrests to be made.
