IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Detectives in Iredell County are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide in Statesville.
Officers found Jamie Moore, 41, and Kimberly Kemp, 40, dead inside their home on Fairdale Road late Friday night.
Investigator said a relative received a disturbing phone call from Moore before the shooting.
The relative went to the couple’s home and reportedly saw Moore lying inside the house with a weapon beside him. The relative called 911. Deputies entered the home and found Moore and Kemp with fatal gunshot wounds.
Investigator said Kemp was in the hallway and had been shot several times.
