KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — The developers of High Side Golf Club in Kannapolis broke ground on the new 109-acre venue on Oct. 20.
The club property is at 6304 Mooresville Road. It will have two nine-hole courses, a driving range with lighting and covered bays, a putting course, a clubhouse and a performance center. It is being developed by founding members Scott Hamel, Phil Hamel and JD Downey.
The 3,000-square-foot performance center will have club fittings, equipment repair, lessons and three heated, indoor-outdoor hitting bays. David Ross and Kennedy Ramsey of Elevate Golf will run the performance center.
The clubhouse will be a modern, 4,700-square-foot building with casual lounge areas, TVs, fast-casual food, an indoor-outdoor bar and a patio with Adirondack chairs and live music.
