CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Restaurateur Fran Scibelli was ready for a change — the pandemic just accelerated those plans.
Scibelli pulled the trigger on a major overhaul, closing her Dilworth restaurant in early January. She expects to spend about $100,000.

The menu has been revamped — though plenty of favorites remain. The interior is getting a refresh, and a pass-through window for doughnuts and coffee has been added.
Say goodbye to Fran’s Filling Station and hello to Fat Cat Burgers/Bake Shop.
“I wanted something fun,” Scibelli says. “I’ve always been about having a fun place.”
