LANCASTER, S.C. — A driver died after crashing in Lancaster County Thursday evening, troopers said.
The crash happened around 5:12 p.m. on Spanish Villa Lane.

Troopers said the driver backed out of a driveway in Lancaster, drove across the road and went down an embankment.
The driver then fell from the truck, which had an open door, and was struck by the vehicle, according to officials.
The driver was airlifted to a hospital where he died Friday, officials said.
Troopers said the truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
No other details have been released.
