CONCORD, N.C. — Law enforcement officials were able to track down a man that ran into the woods following a high-speed chase along Interstate 85 in Cabarrus County Wednesday.
Around noon, troopers began pursuing a black sedan that was heading south on I-85 at a high rate of speed.
Officers spent nearly an hour trying to track the man, and Chopper 9 Skyzoom watched as law enforcement officials began to zero in on the suspect in a creek bed just before 1 p.m.

The car crashed into the median wall near mile marker 51, close to Concord Mills, and the driver ran into the woods.
Officers surrounded the man and took him into custody. His name has not been released.
Authorities have not said why they started chasing the suspect.
