CHARLOTTE — After 1 a.m. on New Year’s Day, the Charlotte Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 3200 block of Parkway Avenue.
Officials said the fire involved wooden pallets outside the building. CFD had the blaze under control in less than 30 minutes.

According to MEDIC, one person was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Saturday morning, CFD said they were investigating the fire and had no additional information.
