East Charlotte driver license office to shut down, relocate

CHARLOTTE — An east Charlotte driver license office will shut down to relocate, according to the the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles.

The office off Executive Circle will permanently close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The DMV plans to reopen it two miles away, off Albemarle Road, on Sept. 2.

During the transition, the DMV says customers can visit the following nearby offices:

  • Charlotte North, 9711 David Taylor Dr.
  • Charlotte South, 201 W. Arrowood Rd., Suite H
  • Charlotte West, 6016 Brookshire Blvd.
  • Monroe, 3122 U.S. Hwy. 74 W.
