1 seriously hurt in industrial accident at Charlotte Water treatment plant

CHARLOTTE — A contractor was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after an industrial accident at a Charlotte Water treatment plant Friday morning.

Emergency crews got the call around 7:45 a.m. The plant is located in northwest Charlotte along Brookshire Boulevard, near Lawton Road.

MEDIC says the contractor is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
