BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — The emergency room at Blowing Rock Hospital will only be in operation for less than one more month.
The Watauga Democrat reports it will close on or about Oct. 1.
The hospital is preparing a transition to the new Chestnut Ridge at Blowing Rock Care Center.
The hospital first opened in 1952.
