CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for the person who fired shots into two northeast Charlotte apartments Wednesday morning.

Detectives said families were inside those units at the time but that nobody was hit by the gunfire.

Police said they think the shooting erupted following an argument between two groups in the parking lot.

The shots rang out just before 1 a.m. at the Meadowbrook Apartments on Ginger Lane, off Grier Road.

Channel 9 could see crime scene technicians placing several evidence markers throughout the parking lot of the apartment complex.

No arrests have been made.
