ROCK HILL, S.C. — A woman who didn't want to be identified is afraid she and her three children will soon be living on the streets.

They've called the Executive Inn in Rock Hill their home for the past month.

But Thursday morning, she woke to find a notice on her window informing that she and her children have one week to move out.
"What are we supposed to do?" she said.

The City of Rock Hill condemned the Executive Inn.

They gave Channel 9 a letter they sent to hotel managers highlighting problems found during recent inspections.

Those violations include a gas leak that shut off service to the whole building, four rooms, that were unfit for human habitation and repairs, that weren't completed.

Some renters said their rooms have no hot water so they're being told to share a bathroom with other renters.

"They're sending all of us to the same room to take showers, the entire hotel is out of water except for the back. They give us room keys and you have to wait your turn," a renter said.

Eyewitness News tried to track down the Executive Inn manager Thursday afternoon but were informed he was out of town.

Families were scared Thursday night not knowing where they're going to live

"How worried are you that you might be homeless? Severely worried," the mother said.

The city gave residents a list of places to find shelter. Many said they called all of them but were informed they were all booked up.
