CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Family and friends of a man murdered and left in a southwest Charlotte office park are crying out for justice.
Police found Andre Wilson seriously hurt on Chastain Avenue last month. He died a short time later.
Charlotte restaurant owner Angelina Smith sat down with Channel 9 Friday to talk about Wilson.
“I pick up the phone to call -- I mean I know I'm not going get an answer,” she said.
Smith said Wilson was a good friend, a hairstylist and genuinely good person.
On Easter Sunday police found him badly wounded and left to die behind a southwest Charlotte office space. His body was found in a secluded spot, hidden from passing cars.
At the time, neighbors said they often saw illegal activity near the office complexes. Police never released a motive in the case and they never made any arrests.
Smith said she wants answers.
“I want justice to be served. I want to find out who did it, why they did it,” she said.
