CHARLOTTE — The FBI of Charlotte hosted a group of Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) student-athletes at its office on Saturday.
The student-athletes are part of the ACC Career Trek program, which gives student-athletes a chance to explore multiple career paths available to them after graduating.

FBI Special Agent Brian Cyprian says experiences like these may inspire students to pursue a career that has never even crossed their minds.
“It plants a seed for some individuals who may not have thought about a career with the FBI or the government,” Cyprian said.
During their time with FBI Charlotte, the student-athletes got a hands-on demonstration from the FBI Evidence Response Team about crime scene investigation. Along with the hands-on demonstration, students were invited to speak with special agents, SWAT team members, and other staff to explore many different career opportunities.
Darrian Bell, a student-athlete from the University of Louisville, told Channel 9 that it allows athletes to see how their skills can transfer from the sports world to the professional world.
“How can I make myself better?” Bell said, “They’ve been helping us to see how our skills as athletes can transfer to the business world from our sports.”
