FBI, CMPD search for man in connection with Wells Fargo robbery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man wearing a hoodie and sunglasses demanded money from a Wells Fargo Bank employee on Tuesday afternoon, Charlotte Mecklenburg police said.
 
The robbery happened at about 2 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Sugar Creek Road.

When the man, about 25 to 30 years in age, received the money, he fled the bank, authorities said.

CMPD armed robbery unit detectives and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force are investigating the robbery.
