Federal prosecutors seek 8-month sentence for Charlotte ICE protester

CHARLOTTE — Federal prosecutors will ask a judge to sentence an ICE protester in Charlotte to eight months in prison.

In September, a jury found Heather Morrow guilty of four crimes, including obstructing the entrance of federal property and assaulting, resisting and intimidating law enforcement during their official duties.

It stems back to November 2025, when video shows Morrow and other protesters blocking the entrance of the ICE office in southwest Charlotte.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 13.

Another protester, William Stanley, was found guilty of three of four crimes in the same trial.

He was sentenced last month to a year of probation.

He’ll also have to pay a $1,000 fine.
