CHARLOTTE, N.C. — When North Carolina moved into Phase 3 of reopening earlier this month, venues with outdoor seating were allowed to open with limited capacity.

The move didn’t help most local music venues which have been closed since the onset of the pandemic in mid-March and don’t have outdoor seating.

The venue will use contactless ticket scanning, and outdoor seating has been arranged for groups of two or four. There will also be hand-sanitizing stations available.

But The Fillmore Charlotte got creative, kicking off its new “Live in the Lot” series this month.

Fans can watch concerts and comedy acts in a socially distanced outdoor setup in the space between The Fillmore and its sister venue, The Underground.

Face coverings or masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times except while eating and drinking.

Tickets cost $25 plus fees.

Here’s the Live in the Lot schedule:

Nov. 1 – Mike Santoro of The Stranger: A Billy Joel Tribute

Nov. 6-7 – Jared Freid

Nov. 8 – Trial By Fire: Journey Tribute
