Fire breaks out at building in Charleston's historic district

CHARLESTON, S.C. — A building in the historic district of Charleston, S.C., burned Tuesday morning.

The fire started around 1 a.m. near the Custom House, which is a familiar landmark to many tourists. Firefighters were concerned about the fire spreading because businesses in the area are close together.

No injuries were reported.

Officials said two or three businesses were damaged by the flames.
