BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Students at an elementary school in Burke County got a surprise visit from firefighters after a truck caught fire in the school’s parking lot.
A viewer shared a video with Channel 9 of the fire in the parking lot of Mull Elementary School, south of Morganton.
The school posted that, “All students and staff are safe! We appreciate those that responded to handle things quickly.”
Eyewitnesses say firefighters had the fire under control within minutes.
