CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people have been displaced after a fire caused approximately $15,000 damage to their south Charlotte home Saturday morning.

Crews extinguished the fire in the 6700 of Raven Place in less than 10 minutes, officials said.

Firefighters said there was heavy smoke and flames visible when they arrived on scene.

Investigators said the fire was accidental, ignited from an electrical issue from the clothes dryer.
