GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Firefighters were busy putting out flames at a storage facility in Gastonia late Monday night.
Crews were called to Morningstar Mini Storage on East Franklin Blvd. just after 11 p.m. and saw flames and smoke coming from one side of the building.
Firefighters forced their way in and were able to put the fire out in about 30 minutes.
Investigators said 19 storage units sustained fire and smoke damage, causing an estimated $100,000 in damages.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and nobody was hurt.
