CHARLOTTE — Authorites are investigating after a fire began inside a food truck at a southwest Charlotte home early Tuesday.

The Charlotte Fire Department was called to the home at around 6 a.m. on Wildwood Muse Court.

After investigating, crews said the fire began accidentally inside a food truck. It then spread to the home and several cars, too.

Crews said they had the fire controlled within 30 minutes of their arrival.

No one was hurt but the Red Cross is helping five adults and three children who were displaced, CFD said. Firefighters estimated the incident resulted in $20,000 of damage.
