SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITH 2-HOUR DELAYS MONDAY:
- Hickory Public Schools
- Watauga County Schools
- Alexander County Schools
- Catawba County Schools
- Caldwell County Schools (already a scheduled optional planning day; those going to school have a 2-hour delay)
SCHOOL IS CANCELED MONDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING DISTRICTS:
- Ashe County Public Schools (optional teacher workday)
- Avery County School System (optional teacher workday)

FORECAST:
- Our conditions will continue to improve throughout Sunday evening.
- Light showers south of Interstate 40 are possible.
- Across the mountains, there is still the potential for additional snow and ice accumulation. 1 to 3 inches of snow are possible and an additional 1/10th of an inch of ice is possible.
- For the metro, there’s not a huge concern for ice on the roads because temperatures will remain in the upper 30s overnight into Monday.
- A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for areas above 3,500 feet. Roads will be slick across the mountain zones.
- We’ll be back to the 60s Monday with sunshine.
