- Ian has regained hurricane strength and is heading toward the South Carolina coast.
- The storm will most likely make landfall between Charleston and Myrtle Beach by mid-morning Friday.
- The Charlotte area will start to see rain move in as early as midnight tonight.
- The rain will pick up through Friday.
- Winds are expected to be between 20 and 30 mph with higher gusts.
- The peak of the storm in our area will be late Friday afternoon before it slowly settles down shortly after midnight.
- Gusty winds, along with rainfall as the storm passes through could lead to some trees down and power outages. Short-lived tornadoes are also a small possibility.
