MONTGOMERY, ALA. — A former Appalachian State University student is facing murder charges Sunday.
Police said Zachary Stirewalt, 21, shot and killed Daniel Turman, 43, Saturday morning in Montgomery, Ala.
Investigators said Turman offered Stirewalt a place to stay when he found out that he left his home in Cary, N.C.
Police have not released a motive.
