Former NASCAR driver sells Lake Norman property for $9.2M

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A Mooresville estate owned by NASCAR driver-turned-analyst Jamie McMurray has sold for $9.2 million after more than a year on the market.

The 33.6-acre property sold for $2.8 million less than its initial asking price of $12 million in August 2025. The estate saw a $1 million price cut in March, dropping to $10.995 million. It went under contract in late August of this year and sold on Oct. 15.

“We knew when listing this property it would take some time to find the right buyer. Not just because it is a challenging real estate market right now but because this property was unique in the regard that it offered acreage as well as access to Lake Norman, a rare find,” listing broker Josh Tucker, with Corcoran HM Properties, told CBJ in an email. “The lake continues to be desirable, we knew we had a remarkable opportunity, we were excited to find a buyer that appreciated the property and equally excited for our seller to close his chapter.”
