DALLAS, Texas — Former Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy has been indicted on drug charges.
The indictment follows his September arrest when police in Texas said they found a small amount of cocaine in his car.
Hardy faces up to two years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
The Panthers decided not to re-sign Hardy amid a domestic violence case two years ago.
A judge convicted Hardy of assaulting Nicole Holder during a bench trial in 2014, but the charges were dismissed on appeal, and his record was expunged.
