HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A Huntersville teacher accused of inappropriately touching and texting a student pleaded guilty Tuesday.

Former Hopewell High School teacher David Allison was sentenced to 60 days in jail, but that will be suspended if he successfully completes 24 months of probation.

He denied touching the student but admitted to having an inappropriate relationship. Allison will have to register as a sex offender.
