GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A former wrestler testified Monday about a camping trip he was on with Scott Goins, a Gaston County wrestling coach accused of forcing players to have sex with him.
The prosecution announced Monday that two people who saw one of the accuser's testimonies last week called its office.
They went to East Gaston High School and want to testify against Goins.
Another former wrestler told jurors Goins took the team on a camping trip more than 10 years ago.
He said he and other younger wrestlers were forced to strip and led into the woods blindfolded.
He said older wrestlers told them they had to perform a sex act to be accepted on the team.
Some wrestlers believed they were performing a real sex act and didn't know they were being tricked.
He said Goins came up to him after the blindfold was removed.
"Coach Goins asked if I was alright. He said he wanted to see how much dedication we had to the team," the man said.
The coach faces 22 counts of sexual misconduct, all in relation to the allegations involving the wrestlers.
One of his accusers testified against him last week. The other two are expected to take the stand this week.
