Gastonia woman accused of embezzling $300,000

GASTONIA, N.C. — A Gastonia woman is accused of stealing more than $300,000 from a business that helps families mourning the loss of loved ones.

April McVay worked for Contemporary Concepts, our partners at the Gaston Gazette reported.

She embezzled the money from 2009 to 2015, investigators said.

Officers arrested McVay Thursday on felony embezzlement charges.
