CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After a year of waiting, the 2020 and 2021 North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductees will officially be honored Thursday night in Kannapolis.

Among the inductees are The Briarhoppers, Jermaine Dupri, Roberta Flack, Squirrel Nut Zippers and Charles Whitfield.
Whitfield is a music producer who has an interesting connection to basketball legend Michael Jordan.
