CHARLOTTE — A global company just opened its East Coast hub in Uptown Charlotte with a promise of 600 new jobs.
North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein helped cut the ribbon for Capital Group Tuesday.
The company is one of the world’s largest asset managers.
“It’s another sign of Charlotte’s emergence as an economic powerhouse, and a ratification of this being the second leading financial hub in the United States,” said Gov. Stein.
Capital Group’s hub is expected to pump $5 billion into North Carolina’s economy.
