Goodwill renovates Gastonia store to expand its e-commerce program

Gastonia, N.C. — Goodwill is opening a new store in Gastonia Friday. The non-profit organization renovated an old grocery store which will now be home to its e-commerce department.

The expansion will have a $7 million a year impact on the area.

The store is scheduled to open Friday.

The new location will also offer free job connection programs that will range from resume building and computer skills to training in fields such as IT and construction.

Goodwill said it helped 1,700 people with employment in Gastonia last year.
