Gordon named new CFD deputy chief

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kevin Gordon will be the Charlotte Fire Department's newest deputy chief.

He's been with the department since 1991 and will be sworn in later this year as president of the North Carolina Firemen's Association.

Gordon will replace retired Deputy Chief Jeff Dulin.

Earlier this year, the department placed Dulin on administrative leave after Channel 9 investigated a post on his Facebook page about Bruce Jenner.

Dulin apologized for the post, which showed Jenner on the cover of a Wheaties box in 1976 next to Jenner on a box of Froot Loops.
