CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Gov. Roy Cooper will be in Charlotte on Wednesday as a bubble wrap company officially becomes the largest corporate headquarters to relocate to the Queen City.

Sealed Air announced its plans in 2014.

The Fortune 500 company will have more than 1,100 employees at its new campus off Tyvola Road in southwest Charlotte.

North Carolina offered Sealed Air millions of dollars in incentives to move from New Jersey. The company has been using temporary office space for the last couple of years.

The average salary for its Charlotte employees is in six figures.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
