CHARLOTTE — Harris Teeter announced it will spend more than $250 million to renovate and build new grocery stores across the Charlotte region.
The Charlotte-based grocery chain said it will spend the next three years using the funds to refresh and modernize stores in places like Fort Mill and Rock Hill, Matthews, Waxhaw, Concord and Huntersville.
Additionally, three new locations are currently under construction in Fort Mill, Lake Wylie and Kannapolis.
Shoppers can expect updated store layouts, larger areas for fresh and prepared foods and improved pickup spots.
The new stores are expected to open in early 2027.
