CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More than 1,500 people gathered in uptown this morning to raise money for pediatric heart disease.
All of the proceeds from the Heartest Yard and Showmars 5K go to caring for kids affected by congenital heart diseases and disorders.

The Heartest Yard is Panthers tight end Greg Olsen's organization in partnership with Levine Children's Hospital.
“Our son T.J. was born 6 years ago at Levine Children's with a very serious heart defect,” Olsen said. “Through our family's journey and a lot of other families in need of healthcare and support, we started the Heartest Yard.”
This was the third annual 5k and kids fun run for the organization.
