HICKORY, N.C. — Police in Hickory are hoping surveillance pictures lead to an arrest in a break-in where someone stole over $30,000 of cellphones and iPads.
Investigators say someone disabled the alarm and pried open the door at the Verizon store on U.S. 70 in southeast Hickory early Sunday morning.
The thief, who had his face covered and wore gloves, stole over three dozen cellphones and six iPads.
Police say they are looking at whether the break-in is connected to another similar case earlier this year.
