CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said nobody was hurt when a car slammed into a west Charlotte Bojangles restaurant late Thursday night.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. on Wilkinson Boulevard and ended with the car smashed against the building after crashing through the Bojangles sign.
The driver told police he was picking up his girlfriend from work when another driver hit his car, pushing it into the restaurant.
“He hit us right here, we spin like three times and we came and hit the Bojangles sign,” DeShawn Ward said. “I was shaken up, my life flashed in front of me.”
Officers told Channel 9 the other driver did not stop and they do not have a description of that car.
