CHARLOTTE — In west Charlotte, a local organization shed light on Overdose Awareness Day.
The Hajee House provides harm reduction tools for people in the Charlotte area who are dealing with addiction.

On Sunday the organization held an event at Lincoln Heights Park focusing on overdose prevention, recovery, and mental health resources.
Organizers said they’re always working to be able to help more people.
“More partners, more organizations showing up and just spreading the word about overdoses and trainings,” said Terica Carter, the founder of Hajee House.
Carter told Channel 9 within the last six to eight months. Hajee House has given out more than $5,000 Narcan and naloxone overdose kits.
