Mac’s Speed Shop was working out the kinks on a cohesive takeout and delivery system across its restaurants when the novel coronavirus rocked its operations.

“Who would have ever thought something like this would happen to the entire world,” says Shang Skipper, president of Charlotte-based Mac’s Hospitality Group, the restaurant’s parent company.
Mac’s saw its dining room close. Sales dropped about 85%. And what started as a test was accelerated, and takeout and delivery became the heartbeat of all business operations.
