Human remains found near Burke County nature trail, two charged with murder

BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Investigators say they found the remains of two people near a nature trail on Hennessee Street in Glen Alpine.

One of those victims has been identified as 31-year-old Raheim Murray of Morganton. They are still working to identify the second victim.

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office says they charged Jamar Propst and Tosha Lewis with two counts each of first-degree murder and felony conspiracy.

Both are in the Burke County Jail with no bond.
