CHARLOTTE — A 29-year-old Huntersville man has been arrested and charged with felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor following a child pornography investigation, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Luke Joseph Stasky was arrested Sept. 16 after detectives obtained search warrants for his social media accounts and uncovered digital evidence.
The case originated on Sept. 2 when the sheriff’s office received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a person in Iredell County possibly in possession of child pornography.
The report was assigned to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit for further investigation.

Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said investigators identified Stasky as the suspect after receiving the initial lead. Detectives subsequently obtained search warrants for social media accounts associated with him.
“As a result of evidence gathered during this investigation, Detective E. Lane learned Stasky had uploaded digital items of child pornography on a social media account,” Campbell said in a news release.
Following his arrest on Sept. 16, Stasky was booked into the county facility.
Stasky was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was issued a $100,000.00 secured bond by Magistrate Thompson.
Campbell stated that authorities are continuing their work on the case.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are pending further investigation
