CHARLOTTE — Interstate 485 Outer is partially closed Tuesday morning due to a deadly crash in west Charlotte.
It happened just before 5 a.m. prior to West Boulevard.
North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed the crash was fatal, but it’s not clear who was killed or if anyone else was hurt.
A portion of the interstate was down to one lane due to the large emergency response, causing major backups for drivers.

Channel 9 is asking for more information about the cause of the crash and if anyone will be charged.
