CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte woman says she is blessed to see 90.
“There are no words for how I feel,” Mae Pearl Martin Howze said. “God, I am so blessed. God’s been good to me.”
Family and friends of the Charlotte native threw Howze a party on Sunday in Allen Woods neighborhood park.
Family members say she has 12 children and 198 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She says the secret to her long life is dancing and her main spot was the Excelsior Club.

“Life’s been good to me,” she said. “I didn’t smoke. I didn’t drink. All I did was dance.”
Howze says she is blessed to see 90.
