‘I felt like a hostage’: Local woman shares story of marriage to convicted killer

A woman is stepping out of hiding to share her story about her marriage with a convicted killer.

Kay Bohemier’s husband, John Paul Gaddy, was arrested again accused of threatening to kill her and other crimes.

He pleaded guilty to manslaughter for that crime.

Gaddy beat a neighbor to death 10 years ago. He burned the house to try and cover up any evidence.

In the video at the top of this webpage, reporter Ken Lemon shares Bohemier’s story, who has since married Gaddy and lives in fear of him.

She has charges against John Gaddy in both Lincoln and Mecklenburg Counties.
