LENOIR, N.C. — The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating an in-custody death at the Caldwell County Detention Center in Lenoir.
Sheriff deputies say Matthew Roark died inside his cell at the jail Thursday morning.
Investigators said he was arrested earlier this week for a parole violation and for drug charges.
Deputies say his cellmate alerted detention officers that something was wrong.
No other information has been made available.
